The Silverthread Outdoor Recreational Club of San Luis Valley, also known as the Silverthreaders Club  is a Non-Profit corporation

The club’s  purpose is both service and socially oriented  The club provides service to the Forest Service by assisting in clearing and maintaining  hiking and ATV trails to ensure safety on trails at all time.  For the Southfork Community we keep the highway clean between mile markers 185 and 187 four times a year.  Socially the club’s purpose is to preserve the multi-use of the magnificent outdoors, have fun, develop friendships, and support others in the  responsible use of the wilderness.
