This year South Fork hosted its third annual Alder Ass Race at Brown Park, boasting 121 registered donkey racers. That’s the biggest donkey race on the books and set a new record—beating out 92 racers at a different town that’s been doing it over 17 years! Thank you to the volunteers who helped in all the various capacities from registration, photography, aid stations and more. These events can’t do it without the lovely volunteers that make it possible. Annnnnnnd through our donk connections, rumor has it there will be a donkey hike at Big Meadows in our future!
